Shilin A.M.<\/p>\n<p><strong>OPTIMIZATION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION MECHANISMS FOR VULNERABLE CATEGORIES OF CITIZENS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Annotation.<\/em><\/strong><em> The article discusses the current issues of a comprehensive analysis of social inclusion technologies and the level of their implementation in social protection institutions. The authors conducted a theoretical analysis, which allowed them to conclude that the concept of \u00abinclusion\u00bb is transforming: from the \u00abintegration\u00bb model (where individuals adapt to the existing environment), modern society is moving towards the \u00abinclusion\u00bb model (where the environment and society are designed to meet the needs of everyone, including people with disabilities, the elderly, migrants, graduates of orphanages, and other vulnerable groups). It has been established that the key barrier today is not so much physical (architectural inaccessibility) as socio-psychological and communicative (stigmatization, low level of inclusive culture, lack of a request for equal participation). The article reflects the results of a sociological study conducted in order to provide a more detailed analysis of social inclusion technologies with various categories of citizens in the Bryansk Region State Budgetary Institution \u00abBryansk City Social Services Center\u00bb. The analysis of the respondents&#8217; answers revealed current problematic issues and ways to solve them. The authors&#8217; conclusions are as follows: the predominant social group of respondents was elderly citizens, as this category of clients is the main one at the Bryansk City Social Services Center; for the vast majority of clients, the primary concern is not so much rehabilitation and adaptation, but rather overcoming feelings of loneliness and providing necessary household support; institutions that not only provide services but also organize interaction between clients can significantly expand their reach without requiring additional staff; only a comprehensive approach to inclusive assistance for a specific client in a specific problematic situation can ensure maximum effectiveness.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Key words:<\/strong><\/em><em> inclusion, sociological research,
