THE DISCOURSE OF THE HISTORY OF SOCIOLOGY: THE RUSSIAN PERIOD OF PITIRIM SOROKIN’S CREATIVITY<\/strong><\/p>\n

Annotation.<\/strong> The article analyzes the biography and creative path of sociologist Pitirim Alexandrovich Sorokin. This is a Russian-American sociologist of the XX century, whose work significantly influenced the development of sociology in Russia. The value of the works of the Russian period of P.A. Sorokin is difficult to overestimate. The ideas formulated and developed by him in his works of 1910-1920 had a great influence on both Russian and world sociology throughout the twentieth century. Pitirim Alexandrovich Sorokin contributed to the development of sociological education in Russia. One of the achievements of the Russian period is the creation of educational programs in sociology in educational institutions of various levels. Sorokin stood at the very origins of sociological education in Russia. The article presents the results of content analysis of the work of Pitirim Alexandrovich Sorokin \u00abCrime and Punishment, feat and reward. A sociological study on the basic forms of social behavior and morality\u00bb (1914). Thanks to the quantitative analysis of the work, the significance and basic ideas of crimes and exploits as the main forms of public morality are studied.<\/em><\/p>\n
