the rights of participants in criminal proceedings when applying other measures of criminal procedural coercion as a legal institution. The article analyzes theoretical approaches to understanding the essence and s<\/em><em>tructure of this legal institution, its place in the system of criminal procedure law. The article reveals the features of the legal regulation of the protection of the rights of participants in criminal proceedings at the international and national
