OBLAST CIVIC CHAMBER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Annotation.<\/strong><\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>In modern conditions, the activities of public chambers, which act as a link between the population and government authorities, ensuring the implementation of public policy and the protection of citizens&#8217; interests, are of particular imp<\/em><em>ortance. However, despite the many scientific papers devoted to this topic, the regional specifics of the activities of such institutions of civil society and public control are rarely considered, which determines the relevance of the study. The purpose of<\/em><em> this study is to analyze the activities of the Vologda Oblast Civic Chamber as an institution of civil society. The theoretical basis of the study was the scientific literature of domestic and foreign researchers on the development of civil society and pu<\/em><em>blic control. The empirical base of the study was made up of data from the official websites of the Vologda Oblast Civic Chamber, data from the official website of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, as well as monitoring of public opinion by the <\/em><em>VolSC<\/em><em> RAS. As a result, it was revealed that the activities of the Vologda Oblast Public Chamber are focused on the supp<\/em><em>ort and development of non-profit organizations, social activities, support for demography, the institution of family and marriage, traditional values, and external interaction, which correlates with the national development goals of the country until
